Sixth graders show up with very different grammar skills. Some can spot a run-on sentence instantly, while others are still sorting out its and it's. This spiral review gives the whole class the same 10 to 15 minutes of language practice every day, so those skills get regular attention without taking over your writing block.
How it works
Each week fits on one page. From Monday to Thursday, students practice the same handful of skills in different formats, so by Friday the week's focus feels familiar. Friday doubles as a quick check, with space for corrections and a short reflection where students note what clicked and what they want more practice with.
Because skills come back week after week, a student who missed commas in October gets another shot at them in November.
